On Tuesday, November 20, 2018, DHC volunteer and board member Dr. Waqar Saleem joined others in the community for J.B. Atkinson Academy for Excellence’s Habit 2 Day program. Throughout the day, Atkinson students received information and asked questions about the many career options that await them when they finish school.
“I want to thank you for taking time out of your day to come and speak with our students during our Habit 2 Day,” said Dustin Whitis, Atkinson’s assistant principal. “After you all left, I heard the students enthusiastically talking about all of the different careers that they heard about with their teachers and peers. That is what the day was all about. It was an opportunity for the students to hear from you all about what you are passionate about and how you reached this point.”
DHC wishes to thank Mr. Whitis and the Atkinson students for the opportunity to participate in this wonderful event.
