In November, DHC volunteer and board member Dr. Waqar Saleem attended a talk presented by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Assistant Secretary Elinore McCance-Katz, M.D., Ph.D. In attendance at the event, which was hosted by the Greater Louisville Medical Society, were leaders from Louisville Metro Public Health and Wellness as well as GLMS President Dr. Wayne Tuckson. In her presentation, Dr. McCance-Katz offered suggestions on grant funding and providing care to patients of greatest need.
