Muhammad Babar, MD, MBA, MSc, was honored with the Mayor’s Spirit of Louisville Award last night during the 2019 WLKY Bell Awards for his commitment to the building of Louisvillian compassion through his numerous charitable efforts and the leadership of Muslim Americans for Compassion and Doctors for Healthy Communities.
Mayor Fischer had this to say about Dr. Babar, “I’ve had the honor of watching him become and incredible community and interfaith leader with a growing national reputation. Thank you, Babar, my friend, and congratulations.”
Taking the podium, Dr. Babar said, “Mother America has been very gracious to me, and that’s why I have unconditional love for her and my fellow citizens. It’s with great humility and honor that I accept this award on behalf of so many unsung heroes.”
