Doctors for Healthy Communities and the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) recently continued their collaboration with Dare to Care to support Jefferson County Public Schools.
DHC and APPNA volunteers started their Thanksgiving week by delivering frozen turkeys, fresh fruit and vegetables for families at Camp Taylor & Audubon Traditional Elementary School on November 23rd, 2020. This was a small gift of support during the holidays for fellow citizens in need. The volunteers also delivered hygiene supplies like soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss, shampoo and deodorant.
As a non-profit organization, Doctors for Healthy Communities is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of the community. Our goals are community outreach with volunteer activities, creating education opportunities and health equity.
