DHC volunteers delivered nonperishable food for the ‘food pantry” and clothes for Kerrick Elementary School of JCPS to Tiffany Bolling, Family Resource Center Coordinator on November 6th, 2024.
Kerrick Elementary School is located at 2210 Uppers Hunters Trace and provides rich, engaging and standard-based instructions. Kerrick Elementary currently has 375 K-5 students and 87% of their population are low-income, high-need, and qualify for free and reduced lunch. They currently have 23 homeless students, but the number fluctuates at times because of the enrollment of newcomer students to the country. They have a large number of students from South America & other minorities and also offer ESL classes twice a week.

DHC volunteers are proud to be a part of this great endeavor, and we plan to support similar efforts for community building and helping our families in Kentucky.
