On October 29th, 2020, Doctors for Healthy Communities (DHC) delivered school supplies to The Backside Learning Center at Churchill Downs, Louisville, KY.
Supplies included dry erase boards and markers, glue sticks, poster board, sidewalk chalk, fraction bars, math link cubes, pattern blocks and other math class accessories.
The Backside Learning Center is an independent, non-profit organization building community and enriching the lives of equine workers and their families at Churchill Downs racetrack. They strive to be the model organization, empowering equine workers and their families to thrive while providing the educational opportunities and resources they need to empower themselves and their children.
